The NATO Navy and Air Force launched a major special operation in the Mediterranean against a Russian submarine.

After the Russian diesel-electric submarine "Rostov-on-Don" was tracked by foreign military aircraft and ships for several weeks, it became known that with the entry into the Mediterranean waters of an American aircraft carrier, the Russian submarine, armed in addition to anti-ship weapons , also with the Kalibr cruise missiles, literally evaporated.

The North Atlantic Alliance considered the actions of the Russian submariners to threaten the American aircraft carrier and the strike group led by it and initiated a military special operation against the Russian submarine, trying to find its current location.
