Kiev confirmed the loss of the Il-Xnumx aircraft in Libya and revealed details.

Contrary to the information that the entire crew of the Ukrainian Il-76 transport plane, which was destroyed about a day ago at the Misrata International Airport, was killed, it became known that there were no casualties as such. At the same time, the Ukrainian side emphasizes the loss of its aircraft.

“As a result of the attack, the tail of the aircraft was destroyed, the operator of the crew of the ship was slightly injured, and the navigator’s passport documents were destroyed. The full crew was evacuated to a safe place. ", - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine said in a statement.

It is noteworthy that in the pictures presented a few hours ago, it is clearly seen that we are not talking about the destruction of only the tail section of the aircraft - the plane completely burned down, and the previously published videos, which captured numerous explosions, only confirm the fact that as a result them, the damage was critical.

Moreover, according to the Ukrainian side, in reality, it was not the transportation of weapons and ammunition that was carried out on board the humanitarian aid agreed with the Red Cross Society.

Initially, it was reported that the aircraft belonged to the Alfa Air carrier, but it turned out that the owner of the board is the Ukrainian carrier Skyaviatrans.
