Helicopter Ka-52 of unknown affiliation shot down from MANPADS "Stinger"

An unknown Ka-52 helicopter was shot down in Ukraine.

A few kilometers northwest of Kiev, a Ka-52 attack helicopter of unknown origin was shot down. According to the Ukrainian military, the combat rotorcraft was hit by a portable anti-aircraft missile system "Stinger" from among those that were delivered from the Baltic a few days ago.

On the presented video frames, you can see that the rocket exploded near one of the weapon suspension points, and, probably, it was for this reason that the rotorcraft managed to be landed emergency on the ground, as evidenced by the unreleased chassis of the Ka-52 helicopter. Judging by the damage, there was also a partial triggering of the helicopter's ammunition, however, there are no identification marks on the fuselage of the attack vehicle, and therefore it was not possible to establish that the helicopter belonged to any country.

Initially, it was reported that the helicopter could have been hit by large-caliber small arms, however, it is known that the rotorcraft flew at a considerable height, and therefore it could not receive critical damage from large-caliber small arms and anti-aircraft installations.

The fate of the helicopter crew is still unknown.

The Alligator has one operator, the Russian Aerospace Forces. Less than two hundred of them were produced in total.

Well, naturally, this is a Russian Aerospace Forces helicopter. Who else besides Russia has a Ka-52? Only in Egypt like.
And further. The Ka-52 cannot be shot down by the Stinger, it has a full-time active protection Vitebsk, and with it any missiles with an infrared homing head are not afraid at all.
And judging by the damage, it was most likely a hit by anti-aircraft guns, possibly a ZSU-23-4 Shilka or a ZU-23-2 installation. Or it was an ATGM hit on the wing.

The letter V is visible on the turntable, this is Belarus marking its equipment and aviation, and Russia has the letter Z marking on equipment
