Director of Communications of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) Evgenia Yashina reported on the attack of a kamikaze drone on the first microdistrict of Energodar, located in the Zaporozhye region of Ukraine. This incident was reported by the RIA Novosti agency.

According to Yashina, the incident occurred today, but specific details about the time of the attack and its scale were not specified. At the moment there is also no information about casualties or injuries as a result of the attack.

The Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, near which Energodar is located, is one of the largest in Europe. The station is equipped with six power units, the total installed capacity of which reaches 6 gigawatts. This is not the first time that this region has become the target of terrorist actions, which raises concerns not only in Ukraine, but also beyond its borders, given the potential threat to nuclear safety.
