History of creation

At the end of 80-ies in the USSR it adopted a policy of accelerating technological progress. It was aimed at improving the technology, which must comply with international peers. The first sketches of the future development and the helicopter began to take place in Kazan branch Mile with 1983 years. But in 87, the customer wanted to implement in the car more and more new and innovative solutions, which were to improve the technical characteristics of the helicopter. It is for this reason that the further development of the project began to engage designers Mil Moscow bureau. Chief designer was A. Ivanov, and later he was replaced by N. Chkalov.
