Australia to give Ukraine drones capable of hitting thermobaric munitions

Australia will give Ukraine 300 attack drones capable of delivering strikes with thermobaric munitions.

This decision was made by the Australian authorities after Kyiv announced a perceived acute shortage of drones. As it turned out, we are talking about miniature DefendTex D4 drones that can cover distances of up to 20 kilometers and strike using various types of ammunition, including thermobaric ones, although of low power.

The DefendTex D4 drone is actually a light guided munition that can be launched with a 40mm grenade launcher or manually. The drone is capable of performing terrain reconnaissance and strikes using high-explosive, armor-piercing, smoke or thermobaric warheads. Despite its rather small size, such a drone poses a very serious threat even to armored vehicles, however, the fact that such a UAV is very difficult to notice and hit is much more dangerous.

In total, Australia will transfer to Ukraine 300 drones with three types of warheads - high-explosive, armor-piercing and thermobaric, while drones can arrive in Ukraine within a week.
