Belarus officially accused Ukraine of preparing a strike on its territory

Minsk accused Kyiv of preparing a strike on the territory of Belarus.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus handed the Ukrainian Ambassador Igor Kizim a note of protest, stating that Kyiv was allegedly preparing attacks on Belarusian territory. The reason for this may be the recent missile launches from the territory of Belarus, as well as the statement of the Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko that Belarus is providing assistance to Russia, although, according to Lukashenko, it does not participate in the armed confrontation.

In Ukraine, the accusations of the Belarusian side were denied, calling not to disseminate false information.

“In the note, the Belarusian side claims that Ukraine plans to strike at the territory of Belarus. This information is not true. We categorically reject the latest insinuations of the Belarusian authorities (ed.). We do not rule out that the delivery of a diplomatic note may be part of the plan of the Russian Federation to carry out a provocation and further accuse Ukraine.”, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

So far, there are no details regarding Kyiv's planning of possible strikes against Belarus, however, earlier Lukashenka announced his readiness to mobilize up to 500 thousand citizens if necessary.
