The Ukrainian military were taken prisoner, having been ambushed between Liman and Kremennaya.

While trying to transfer their forces towards Kremennaya, a group of Ukrainian military, moving on American M113 armored personnel carriers, was ambushed by Russian military. Due to the effect of surprise, the Ukrainian military decided to voluntarily lay down their arms, thereby being taken prisoner.

At the moment, it is known that the incident occurred during the transfer of the Ukrainian military from Liman towards Kremennaya, however, there are no clarifications on this matter. According to a number of reports, an ambush on the Ukrainian military was organized on the eastern bank of the Zherebets River, i.e., outside the zone controlled by Ukrainian troops.

Despite a significant build-up of Ukrainian forces on the outskirts of Kremennaya, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are still unable to go on the attack in this direction, since Russian troops have managed to regroup and provide full protection on the outskirts of this settlement.
