The governor of the Samara region promised to solve the problem with the return of prisoners from Ukraine

The Governor of the Samara Region, Dmitry Azarov, has begun to resolve the issue of returning to their homeland military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces who are in captivity in Ukraine. He stated this after the publication in the media of information about a recent address by State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein, who drew the attention of the public and authorities to the problem of captured Russian military personnel. In the appeal, captured Russian soldiers, originating from the Samara region, asked for help in their release, mentioning their origin, dates of birth and wounds received during combat operations.

Khinshtein, who noted the problem of prisoners, turned for support to both the Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia, Tatyana Moskalkova, and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. In his address, the deputy emphasized the importance of efforts to return soldiers home, highlighting their difficult situation and long stay in captivity. The captured military men, many of them from Samara, Togliatti and other cities of the Samara region, expressed hope for a speedy release and return to their families.
