Two Ukrainian Su-27s had to flee from Russian Su-35s.

The pilot of the Russian Su-35 fighter, involved in the Russian military special operation in Ukraine, said that the attempt of Ukrainian fighters to engage in air combat with clearly superior fighters of the 4 ++ generation resulted in a new shame for the Ukrainian Air Force - despite the formidable approaching, within a few minutes the Ukrainian Su-27s turned around and began to flee.

According to the data presented, the incident occurred at the very beginning of the Russian military special operation in Ukraine, when the Ukrainian Air Force still had combat aircraft. When performing a combat mission, the crews of the Su-35 fighters noticed the rapid approach of the Ukrainian Su-27s. However, as soon as the Ukrainian pilots realized the futility of air combat, given that Russian fighters had much more long-range missiles, they simply decided to run away.

Experts note that Ukrainian pilots are simply demoralized and are well aware that they have no real opportunity to conduct an air battle against Russian aircraft.

To date, the Ukrainian Air Force has virtually no combat aircraft, since some of them were destroyed on the ground, and some in the air, as previously reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense in daily briefings.
