The Saturday military operation of the Western coalition (US, France, Great Britain) against the Syrian targets did not change the state of affairs in the Syrian crisis. The Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom regards this as an "easy blow to the shoulder" from the point of view of Assad and his defender, the Russian president, Vladimir Putin. In addition to inflicting damage to the prestige of Russia, which claims to be the central figure of confrontation, this attack has no other meaning.

In reality, the state of affairs in Syria should bother every inhabitant of the planet: after two terrible wars of the twentieth century, the world is not able to translate into reality the ideal of the United Nations and to prevent bloody events, like those unfolding in the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic in recent years.

What do we have at the moment? Here it is worth noting a few points. From the perspective of the Syrian side, Assad received a light blow from which he can recover without problems, and will be able to take the situation in Syria under his control. Each time he understands more and more that no one is going to overthrow him, especially now that Russia has become his defender. Assad will continue to fight with his opponents in Syria.

If you look at the situation from the point of view of Russia, the confrontation between Moscow and Washington has intensified even more. The Kremlin must make a tough decision: to hold back and not respond to the actions of the United States, forming a new Syria, or to respond and exacerbate the situation. The second scenario is unlikely, since nothing out of the ordinary happened. Ultimately, everything will be limited to military rhetoric.

From the US point of view: President Trump's rating rose. He opened fire and found support from two European countries. At the same time, he managed to keep the "heat" and not make the situation extremely dangerous.

From the perspective of Israel: Iran continues to strengthen its presence in Syria, and pinpoint Israeli operations are not capable of hindering this process. The end of the crisis in relations with Iran is not visible, and soon Israel will have to make important, fateful decisions.
