Israeli sources note that the strike on the runway of Damascus International Airport was inflicted as a warning that Israel controls the interaction between Tehran and Damascus, and if Syria does not refuse interaction with Iran, the strikes will be more serious. It is for this reason that the second runway was not attacked.
