Russian Navy ships will receive kamikaze drones

Russian warships will be equipped with kamikaze drones.

Sources in the country's defense department report that at the moment the command of the Russian Navy is working on the issue of arming Russian warships with kamikaze drones. This weapon has successfully proven itself in Syria. Experts believe that in the service of the Russian Navy, drones will be able to deliver accurate strikes not only at sea targets, but also at ground targets.

To date, the Russian army is armed with only two types of kamikaze drones - "Cube-UAV" and drones of the "Lancet" family. The latter can prove to be quite effective weapons against small naval targets and for engaging ground targets. Apparently, for the needs of the Russian Navy, loitering ammunition with a large charge will be developed, which will cause critical damage to enemy ships.

It is noteworthy that the cost of kamikaze drones is relatively small. At the same time, their use does not require additional equipping of ships with launchers, hangars, etc.

Over the past five years, Russia has made quite serious progress in the development of unmanned aerial vehicles, some of which have no foreign counterparts at all.

Getting into a boat or a huge anti-ship missile is one thing, but a swarm of maneuvering little pieces of plastic is another.

This is not very effective when there are Phalanxes or 630s on the ship. They can also cut boats with fire, and UAVs or Ammunition are loitering even more so.
