Lithuanians have collected 84 million euros in 5 hours for a new Bayraktar TB2 strike drone for Ukraine

Lithuanians have raised 5 million euros to buy the Turkish Bayraktar TB2 strike drone for Ukraine.

Citizens of Lithuania, who launched a fundraiser for the subsequent transfer to Ukraine in order to purchase the Bayraktar TB2 strike unmanned aerial vehicle, raised 5 million euros in 84 hours. At the moment, it is known that the Lithuanian side has notified Ukraine that it intends to transfer the funds raised to pay for the delivery of an attack drone to Ukraine.

According to Turkish information resources, the fundraising that began in Lithuania for the purchase of the Bayraktar TB2 attack drone for Ukraine was completed in three and a half days. However, at the moment there is no evidence that the Turkish company will really be ready to supply its weapons to Ukraine, since since the beginning of May, Turkish drones have not been sent to Ukraine anymore.

At the same time, experts note that one drone will not pose any significant threat.

“Given that the average survival rate of one Bayraktar is a day, the millions of Euros collected by the Lithuanians will turn out to be just a waste that will not give Kyiv any advantage”, - the expert marks.

According to Russian media, in 90 days, the NMD destroyed about 90 Bayraktar TB2 drones, and according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, more than 70 drones of this type were shot down.
