Japanese Foreign Ministry announced its readiness to ban flights of American military equipment

Japan intends to ban flights of US military air equipment.

Previously, the information resource Avia.pro reported that the government of the Japanese prefecture of Okinawa, intends to prohibit flights of American air equipment in the event that the US Department of Defense can not guarantee the safety of civilians. This was due primarily to the fact that in less than a month there were two incidents in Japan, in one of which, a porthole dropped off from a military helicopter, caused a serious injury to the Japanese teenager.

A few days ago it was reported that due to a technical malfunction, an American military helicopter landed in Okinawa, which actually means that the Pentagon could not guarantee the safety of its military forces in Japan, as a result of which Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono made a statement that if incidents with American military aircraft continue in the near future, that the country will consider the possibility of banning American aircraft and helicopter flights over the land of the state.

Experts believe that in most cases, incidents with American military air equipment are due to negligent maintenance, in addition, most of the Japanese-based aircraft and helicopters are obsolete.
