A blow was struck to the railway infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Cherkasy region

This morning, at approximately 6:30, Russian troops carried out two strikes on railway infrastructure in the city of Smela, Cherkasy region, Ukraine. Ballistic missiles of the Iskander-M complex were used for the attack. According to the Vzor Partizan channel, one of the missiles damaged the station buildings and the railway track, probably due to the impact of enemy electronic warfare (EW) systems.

The second rocket hit the territory of the carriage depot, causing a fire. There is currently no information about the exact results of the lesion.

Local authorities announced that they managed to shoot down the missiles, and shrapnel damaged private sector facilities and one of the infrastructure facilities. The strikes are part of a series of attacks on Ukraine's railway infrastructure, including recent attacks in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Systematic attacks on railway infrastructure could be aimed at reducing logistics capacity and impeding the movement of military equipment and supplies.
