New Kakhovka came under massive shelling.

This afternoon, the central districts of Novaya Kakhovka came under heavy shelling. It is known that it was planned to evacuate about 200 people from the territory of the settlement, however, given the shelling, the situation on the left bank of the Dnieper worsened significantly.

Against the background of the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine already completely control the right-bank part of the Kherson region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine got the opportunity to fire at Novaya Kakhovka and other settlements located on the left bank of the Dnieper from almost any weapon, while previously only MLRS "HIMARS" could be used for this and Alder, as well as long-range cannon artillery. At the same time, the distance from the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to Nova Kakhovka has been reduced to only 3-4 kilometers, which allows the Armed Forces to use mortars and tanks.

To date, the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region is held by at least 40 Russian servicemen. This, although it excludes the possibility of an offensive by the Ukrainian army here, does not always provide an opportunity to repel the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
