The Pentagon accused Russian hackers of infecting US military drones with an unknown virus.

According to preliminary information, cybersecurity specialists of the US Department of Defense found evidence in the control systems of American military unmanned aerial vehicles that Russian hackers were able to launch an unknown virus into the control and monitoring system of drones, which made it possible to collect information about the movements of the UAV and obtain tracked data.

In the summer of 2017, the information resource Avia.pro reported that in the systems of military drones, a malicious code was detected that tracked the movement of military drones during the flight.

It should be clarified that for the time being there has been no official evidence of this information, nor any comments from the US Department of Defense.
