Russia will have another air base in Syria.

According to data provided by the Syrian Center for Monitoring Human Rights, Russia is currently negotiating the lease of another military base in Syria. We are talking about an airfield located in Al-Kamyshly, while the lease term for the military base should be 49 years.

The reason for the need to rent another military airfield in Syria for almost half a century is unknown, especially since the El-Kamyshly airfield is located only 500 kilometers from the Russian military air base Khmeimim, however, experts believe that it will be a kind of control center for American missiles stationed in the Middle East.

“If we allow the deployment of Russian air defense and missile defense systems in the El Kamyshly area, then American missiles, if the latter are deployed in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, etc., will be intercepted long before they are launched towards Russia ", - the expert marks.

Moscow has not yet made official statements on this subject.
