Serbia has been able to endure the NATO aggression and crimes that, even after 19 years, affect the lives and health of its citizens. Now, after Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya, the Western machine of geopolitical interests is interested in Syria, in which war and suffering have reigned for seven years, and the population is leaving their homes in the hope of finding better conditions.

In his comments on the US, French and British attacks on Syria, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that "it is a painful reminder for us of the period we have gone through" and added that "we are a small country and should not interfere." The Serbian leader also stressed that “the interests and destructive power of all parties to the conflict are terribly great. It is important for us to learn from the past to adopt an observer position to ensure the safety of our citizens. We must be quiet and engage in economic development.

For Serbia, behaving quietly means not expressing your opinion on the international arena about the war in Syria and the military operation of the United States, France and Great Britain, which they are conducting without sanctions from the UN Security Council. A similar picture was observed in Serbia in 1999 - then the incumbent President Vucic was the Minister of Information.

The Serbian government keeps aloof, "although the Syrian problem is part of a deep crisis of powerful powers, small states and nations suffer from its consequences."

According to the president, Europe and the Balkans should prepare for a new migration wave, which will bring dissatisfaction, violence and terrorist attacks. With the development of the Syrian conflict, it will turn into a clash of the strongest of the world, but its consequences will be felt, first of all, by small nations and states, such as Serbia.

The conflict between the countries of the West and Russia on the Syrian territory has all the prerequisites to acquire a global character and then Serbia will not have a chance to take the position of a passive observer.

US President Donald Trump appealed to the American people with a statement that he gave the order to attack Syria because of the alleged chemical attack in the Duma. He added that "Iran and Russia bear the greatest responsibility for supporting, financing and supplying the Bashar Assad regime in Syria. I ask Iran and Russia what kind of nation they want to be connected with the murder of innocent people: men, women and children ... I hope we can somehow get along with Russia and Iran, maybe not. "

In these words, you can see the message for Serbia: "Give up Russia before it's too late."

Silent observation of international conflicts and crimes is a silent complicity without a moral position. Such a foreign policy was held by the Kingdom of Yugoslavia before 27 March 1941, and so did many European states in relation to Serbia in 1999.
