The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has released information about an unprecedented military exercise in the Arctic "Umka-2021", in which the United States demonstrated Russia's readiness to quickly deploy its forces in the Arctic, as well as in any other region of the world, its nuclear submarines.

“As part of the Arctic expedition, three nuclear submarines for the first time in the history of the Russian Navy surfaced from under the ice in a limited space with a radius of 300 meters. As part of the exercise, three modern Russian submarines, armed with nuclear ballistic and cruise missiles, surfaced from under the ice in the Arctic, demonstrating their readiness to instantly launch nuclear and non-nuclear strikes on US territory.

According to a number of data, the military exercises were "timed" to demonstrate the readiness of the Russian fleet to respond to any threat, although at the same time the complex coordination of actions of the Russian submariners was also worked out.
