The Ukrainian Air Force has been reinforced with new modernized equipment.

As follows from the statement made by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Anatoly Petrenko, at the end of 2017, the Air Force of Ukraine was strengthened with 10 modernized aircraft, 12 helicopters and 35 unmanned aerial systems. As follows from the statement made, thanks to this, the defense capability of the Ukrainian army has increased significantly, however, this year it is expected to achieve much higher indicators.

Nevertheless, experts believe that in reality, even the modernized Ukrainian aircraft do not represent a great potential military value, since they need to be replaced, and taking into account the fact that the budget of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2018 was seriously cut, this will affect the country's defense in the most negative way.

Earlier, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin said that, if necessary, Ukraine can take its military equipment from the Crimea, in particular, we are talking about at least 10 aircraft, however, today, these aircraft are unsuitable for exploitation.
