The Central African Republic is satisfied with the training of the Russian military and is waiting for supplies of ammunition from Russia

The Minister of Defense of the Central African Republic, Claude Rameau Birot, in an interview with RTVI, spoke about Russia’s significant contribution to the education and training of the CAR’s military forces. According to him, over the past five years, more than 10 thousand CAR military personnel have been trained under the guidance of Russian instructors. Currently, hundreds of officers of the country's armed forces continue their training in Russia.

Claude Rameau Birot emphasized that training with Russian specialists is of high quality, focusing on practical training and physical training. The minister expressed gratitude for the support of Russian instructors, who not only conduct training, but also accompany the CAR military in operations against armed groups. This experience, according to the minister, played a key role in increasing the combat effectiveness of the CAR army.

"Russian instructors have become an important link in the national security system of the Central African Republic"“, he noted, adding that the country intends to continue and expand cooperation with Russia in the military sphere.

Cooperation between the Central African Republic and Russia in the field of defense and security, according to Claude Rameau Birot, significantly contributes to stabilizing the situation in the region, helping the Central African Republic cope with security challenges and strengthen state sovereignty.

It is noted that the CAR also expressed hope for the supply of ammunition from Russia, however, how feasible this is at the moment is unknown.
