In the northern suburbs of Soledar, the most difficult battles for Vasyukovka began.

After the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to withdraw part of their troops from Soledar before the complete encirclement of the city, it became known that the Ukrainian units managed to regroup and take up defensive positions in the area of ​​the settlement. Vasyukovka, opening up the opportunity for an attack on Slavyansk. Now this has led to extremely fierce battles in this area, although until recently the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not show any activity here.

In the video footage obtained by Avia.pro journalists, taken from an unmanned aerial vehicle, one can see a fierce bombardment on the outskirts of Vasyukovka. Apparently, heavy artillery is working here, coupled with strikes by guided missiles (presumably, the Ukrainian side uses the HIMARS MLRS, - ed.). It is known that the offensive in this direction is carried out by the forces of the Wagner PMC, however, judging by the sources, so far it has not even been possible to achieve the occupation of the outskirts of Vasyukovka, since the Armed Forces of Ukraine use the tactical advantage of the open area to the east of Vasyukovka.

N.p. Vasyukovka is quite large and provides an opportunity for further advancement in the direction of both Slavyansk and Seversk. This may allow the Russian military, in the event of a successful capture of this settlement, to significantly expand the front for the offensive.
