Russia has significantly increased the military potential of the Crimea over the past week.

According to the information that has appeared, Russia has deployed 24 additional combat fighters to the territory of the Crimean peninsula, thereby significantly increasing the military potential of this region against the background of aggravated relations with Ukraine. According to the information available to the Avia.pro resource, 8 MiG-29 fighters and 16 Su-27 fighters were additionally deployed to Crimea over the past week, which caused panic among the Ukrainian authorities.

As follows from the information provided, all the fighters additionally transferred to the Crimean peninsula were placed at the Belbek airfield, however, no official confirmation of this data either from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation or from the command of the Russian Aerospace Forces has been received.

However, the information was confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, where, by the way, they also did not speak about the exact purpose for which the additional means of combat aviation of Russia were transferred to the Crimea.

“According to experts, an increase in the number of aircraft parks and storage areas of aircraft armament on the military part of the airfield can be used to increase the capacity to receive combat aircraft, including strategic ones”, - the report says.
