Norway talked about the attack on 11 Russian bombers.

Director of the Norwegian Intelligence Service, Lt. Gen. Morten Haga Lunde, made a statement that the 11 Russian bombers attacked the Norwegian Arctic radar. The rehearsal of the attack was attended exclusively by Su-24 front-line bombers, which exactly a year ago (February 14 2018 of the year - ed. Edition) simulated a massive missile-bombing attack on northern Norway.

It is known that Russian front-line bombers Su-24 took off from a military airfield in Monchegorsk and purposefully flew up to the borders of Norwegian airspace to simulate an attack on the Arctic radar. For what purpose this was done, the head of the Norwegian Intelligence Service did not specify, however, in his opinion, Russia continues to behave aggressively towards the West, and therefore, one should not expect an improvement in relations in 2019.

Analysts, in turn, noted that the words of the director of the Norwegian Intelligence Service are not supported by anything, moreover, there is no need to use such a large number of bombers.

“Russia’s weapons are modern weapons capable of hitting targets, including on the territory of Norway. Against this background, there is no point in using a whole wing to destroy the arctic radar. If necessary, you can use long-range missiles, which would easily destroy the radar and another half of the territory of Norway. This is just another "fake", the purpose of which is to expose Russian aggression ", - experts underlined.
