An unexpected attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces led to losses in the Ukrainian army.

The unexpected offensive of the Ukrainian army in the Donbass, although it served as the advancement of the Ukrainian military deep into the territory of the DPR, led to very sensitive losses. According to the information available to the news agency Avia.pro, as a result of retaliatory attacks by the DPR militias, the Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered losses among the military personnel and in equipment, in fact, finding themselves trapped in small territories that could not be held under the onslaught of artillery strikes.

According to some reports, as a result of attacks by the DPR forces, at least five Ukrainian servicemen have already died and 12 wounded, at least six units of military equipment have been destroyed, incl. two tanks that were to be used by the Armed Forces as one of the lines of defense. In fact, the "successful" offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will lead to the fact that in the next few days, and probably hours, the Ukrainian troops will be forced to liberate the occupied territory, since otherwise the losses will increase many times over.

“The regions of the DPR occupied by the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not give either a strategic or a tactical advantage. Ukrainian troops, of course, can make every effort to hold this territory, but in this case the losses will be simply enormous. It is possible that the Ukrainian army may undertake several counterattacks along the entire front in order to weaken the attacks of the militia, but the effect of surprise will no longer be achieved, ”the specialist notes.

According to representatives of the DPR and LPR, there are no losses among the militias, although these data raise some doubts among independent experts, since several positions of the defenders of Donbass were destroyed as a result of attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
