According to The Wall Street Journal, the United States believes that Russia is behind the incident. In this regard, they express concern about such actions in relation to the American military presence on the territory of the Arab Republic.

“Russian military forces conducted a series of operations against the US-led coalition in Syria this month, including one this week at a strategically located base in the southern part of the country,” US military officials said. Russia's actions have alarmed the US military, who are concerned that a miscalculation could escalate into an unintended conflict between US and Russian forces in Syria."- сообщает The Wall Street Journal.

Despite such high-profile allegations, the American side has been unable to provide any evidence that the recent attack on the US coalition garrison in Al-Tanf, on the border of Iraq and Jordan, is in any way connected with Russia. However, Syrian sources claim that the attacks on the US military garrison in eastern Syria were indeed carried out using combat aircraft.

However, there is evidence that the territory of the attacked garrison was not at all the American military or the military of other countries, but militants trained by the United States. At the same time, it is noted that Russia notified the US through a special line about strikes in response to an alleged attack by militants on Syrian government forces in this region of the Arab Republic.
