The hydraulic system controls the release and lifting of the chassis. For more effective braking, the aircraft has an additional parachute system, which is located in the tail part of the car. This system is represented by a parachute of the two-dome type.

All control of the machine is automatic, but the main work in flight is performed by elevator and control rudders, as well as by ailerons. For easier and more comfortable operation, all systems are equipped with hydraulic amplifiers. Regarding the control wiring, it is made according to a rigid scheme, which increases its survivability. But the most important thing in management is that the aircraft has a system that allows for automatic flight. This system type SAU-8 provides stabilization of the machine at the corners and roll, in addition, it is able to stabilize the flight. The airplane can be moved both horizontally and vertically on the machine. This equipment is capable of approaching a landing up to an altitude of 50 meters.

Hydraulic machines differ only in the presence of the booster, which is disposed within the longitudinal bore, together with a control system.

The nozzles of the machine are equipped with a central body that promotes better cooling by blowing cold air through it, which comes from the air intakes. On the Su-25T aircraft, it is possible to replace engines with other types of R-95S.

The fuel system, through pumps, provides fuel to the power plant regardless of the position of the aircraft in flight. The fuel of the machine is placed in four fuel tanks of the fuselage and one more in the wings of the apparatus. The total capacity of the tanks is almost five tons of fuel. For greater survivability in combat conditions, each engine has its own autonomous tank, and the looped system provides power plant fuel from any tank. To prevent the explosion of tanks, they are at 70 percent filled with polyurethane foam. It is possible to install additional suspension tanks with capacity of 4 tons of fuel for the car's stretches.

Electricity is supplied by generators installed on the engines. The peculiarity is that the aircraft has a system of direct and alternating current, which is used for different systems. In connection with the final work on the heavy aircraft carrier cruiser TAKR project 1143.5 called "Tbilisi" (the first of the series) it was decided to create a ship fighter Su-28. But for negative reasons the plane's project was stopped. To replace it with the basic model was Su-25UB. This decision engineers from the Sukhoi Design Bureau accepted after the flight tests in the summer of 1984. The tests were conducted for Su-27 - take-off from the springboard at the base complex "Nitka". Simultaneously they tested Su-25 (T8-4). He showed himself quite well. It was the results of the engineers from the OKB and decided to use it as a base for creating a training deck airplane of training character - T8-UTG, or Su-25UTG.


In order to develop a new aircraft identified a serial Su-25UB, lead engineer for flight tests appointed NP Petrukhina. The aircraft collected immediately, taking into account future improvements to strengthen the structure. Serial production was planned to hold an aircraft factory in Ulan-Ude, since 1988 years. In March, the fighter sent its own way on FOX OKB. There it established a hook and calibration ACA. The upgraded model of the sky raised test IV Votintsev.

In October, the aircraft ferried in Salem for a test program with the landing hook for cable arresting gear. Combat serial aircraft Su-25UTG has a number of differences from the basic training model. The differences are mainly related to the elements and systems of construction. On Su-25UTG there are no blocks of sighting equipment and weapons control systems, installations with guns, beam holders and pylons, armored screens of engines, radio communication stations, units and elements of the defense system. But at the same time in the tail of the fuselage installed landing hook, which is a hook for braking with side stabilizers and a damper-lift. Since the parachute brake unit was removed, it was necessary to shorten the ending of the tail boom. Niche, designed for gun mount, sewed (placed at the head end). NOSP (ground-optical landing system) is responsible for the process of entering the aircraft in the landing zone. Once in the beam optical system, a pilot with instrumentation takes the machine to reduce the height of a given glidepath. Flying over it is done on the calculated angle of attack delayed maximum speed. The process takes place before the wheels touching the chassis to the runway.
