In the United States, they are creating an analogue of the Russian Avangard hypersonic missile system, as evidenced by statements from both the Pentagon’s Advanced Research Programs Office (DARPA) and Raytheon, which is developing.

At the moment it is known that we are talking about the creation of a maneuvering hypersonic war block, which, similar to the war blocks of the Russian Avangard hypersonic missile system, will be able to develop tremendous speed and enter the target, bypassing the lines of defense. The speed of the combat unit is called within the 5-6 MAX, which is clearly inferior to the combat units of the Russian Avangard complex, however, in this case, in the United States, this development is not positioned as a strategic, but as a tactical weapon. It is reported that 63,3 million dollars were allocated to develop the Raytheon maneuvering unit, which is relatively little.

It should be clarified that other companies are engaged in the development of hypersonic weapons in the United States, in particular, the American “Lockheed Martin” presented a model that its appearance almost completely copies the combat unit of the Russian Avangard complex.
