Ukrainian troops made another attempt to attack the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, the target of which was the station’s unique training center. According to the ZNPP press service, published on their Telegram channel, the drone was successfully neutralized by air defense systems right above the roof of building “G” of the training center (TTC), which houses the only full-scale reactor hall simulator of its kind.

Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the incident, and no destruction of the facility was recorded. This incident was the latest in a series of attempted attacks on nuclear power plant infrastructure, which causes particular concern among specialists and the international community, given the potential threat to radiation safety.

The Zaporozhye NPP training center plays a critical role in personnel training, which makes it not only a unique facility for training nuclear industry specialists, but also a key element in ensuring the safety of the nuclear plant itself.

The IAEA has not yet responded to the new attack attempt.
