According to analysts, at the moment the United States is making every effort to deprive Russia of a lucrative contract, while considering the effectiveness of helicopter repairs in other countries, one of which is Belarus.

According to the arguments of experts, at the moment, the US Department of Defense cannot turn to Russia for help in repairing the Afghanistan Air Force Mi-17 helicopters, however, given the fact that a number of Belarusian enterprises can repair these rotary-wing aircraft against the backdrop of establishing relations between the United States and Belarus, a contract for the repair and maintenance of helicopters can be transferred to this country.

At the moment, there are no official statements on this subject, however, experts believe that Belarus will not be able to take the contract from Russia, which is primarily due to the fact that the request will not be made by the American but the Afghan side, in connection with than, there will be no de facto violations.
