Yevgeny Prigozhin announced that on May 10 PMC "Wagner" leaves Bakhmut due to lack of ammunition

PMC "Wagner" leaves Bakhmut on May 10 due to lack of ammunition.

The founder of the private military company (PMC) "Wagner" Yevgeny Prigozhin said that his units will leave Bakhmut on May 10, 2023 due to a critical shortage of ammunition. The corresponding statement was made by him against the backdrop of ongoing hostilities in the region.

"On May 10, 2023, we are forced to transfer positions to units of the Ministry of Defense", Prigozhin said in a statement.

According to Prigozhin, PMC Wagner cannot continue to fulfill its obligations to ensure security and stability in the region due to an acute shortage of ammunition and other resources. In this regard, the company's units will be forced to leave the Bakhmut area, transferring control over the positions to the military units of the Ministry of Defense.

Thus, the decision to withdraw units of PMC "Wagner" from Bakhmut can be a significant turn in the course of hostilities in the area. It is important to note that at the moment there have been no official comments from the Ministry of Defense regarding this situation.

However, experts express doubts that Wagner PMC will really leave this region.
