NATO is preparing to transfer additional air defense systems to Ukraine, said Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. According to him, after a thorough inventory of existing weapons, the member countries decided to transfer several anti-aircraft missile systems, including the American Patriot and the French-Italian SAMP/T. Deliveries are planned for the near future.

Stoltenberg clarified that in addition to air defense systems, Ukraine will receive spare parts and missiles for installations already in operation, which will strengthen its defense capabilities in the context of the ongoing conflict. The exact numbers and timing of the transfer of weapons were not announced, but it is emphasized that such assistance is consistent with the right of NATO countries to support Kyiv without direct participation in the conflict.

What is quite remarkable is that the NATO Secretary General declared the legality of Ukrainian strikes on military targets on Russian territory. This worsens the situation for the West and may force Russia to act more harshly.
