Iran hits Israel with 110 ballistic missiles

Israeli officials confirmed information about a large-scale missile attack from Iran, RIA Novosti reports, citing the New York Times. According to the publication, Iran launched 185 unmanned aerial vehicles, 36 cruise missiles and 110 surface-to-surface missiles towards Israel. The bulk of the weapons were launched directly from Iranian territory, but launches are also known from Iraq and Yemen.

At the same time, ABC News notes that according to preliminary estimates, preparations were made to launch from 400 to 500 drones and missiles, including at least 100 ballistic missiles, indicating a deliberate and well-planned military action on the part of Iran.

Despite the largest attack using drones and ballistic missiles, the effectiveness of the attack was extremely low - approximately 99% of the missiles and drones were intercepted on approach and over Israeli territory.
