The incident with the invasion of the British missile destroyer HMS Defender into Russian territorial waters near Crimea was not only considered a threat to NATO, but they decided to reward the captain of the warship for actually ignoring the threat of destruction and invading Russian territorial waters.

As follows from the material published by the British edition of the Daily Mail, by its actions the UK sent a very serious signal to Russia, demonstrating its readiness to continue to act very radically. However, the opinion of British journalists is by no means shared by ordinary Britons, who called the captain's act and the actions of the British Department of Defense stupid, since they almost led to a large-scale armed conflict.

The actions of the British destroyer related to the violation of Russian borders are indeed reckless, since if the British destroyer had not left Russian territorial waters after warning air strikes, the warship would most likely have been attacked, and if not destroyed, then most likely would have been captured by the Russian military.
