MEE: Turkey handed over to Ukraine about 200 missiles for the TRLG-230 MLRS

Turkey handed over several hundred missiles for the TRLG-230 MLRS to Ukraine.

Another Middle Eastern source confirmed the delivery of Turkish TRLG-230 multiple launch rocket systems to Ukraine. Along with this, there were also details regarding the supplied ammunition for such systems. As it turned out, due to the limited production of corrected missiles, the supply of the latter is not massive, however, to date, Ukraine has already received about 200 missiles, which, according to preliminary data, are actively used to strike at the territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.

“To the best of MEE’s knowledge, about 50 TRLG-230 missiles have been sent to Ukraine, confirming what defense blog Oryx reported on Monday. One source said that up to 200 missiles could have been delivered by now. The Oryx article says the guided missile could be paired with Turkey's famed Bayraktar TB2 drones, which can identify targets for the guided missile and help it successfully destroy them within a 70-kilometer radius. Stein Mitzer, the weapons expert who runs Oryx, told MEE that Turkey was the first country to supply such equipment to Ukraine, even before the United States supplied its HIMARS, which first arrived in Ukraine in June. “TRLG-230 missiles are designed for pinpoint strikes on a target, and not for simultaneously launching a large number of missiles, as from a conventional multiple launch rocket system,” he said, MEE reports.

Earlier it was reported that Turkey transferred to Ukraine 12 TRLG-230 MLRS launchers, which, taking into account the HIMARS, MARS II, MLRS and LMU MLRS available to the Armed Forces, gives the Armed Forces a serious advantage.
