Also, as a result of the modernization, AW 212 will receive radio equipment, a communication system and a system that allows you to navigate in the dark. The helicopters are being modernized by the Italian company AgustaWestland. The contract worth 63 million euros was signed back in 2010.

 The Austrian Air Force, in addition to the supplied helicopters, purchased one used one and included it in the modernization program. As a result, the amount that must be paid for the transaction amounted to 71 million euros.
