Poland handed over S-125 anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine

Poland transferred additional air defense systems to Ukraine.

At the moment, it is known that Poland has transferred to Ukraine at least one S-125 anti-aircraft missile system. The latter is of Soviet origin and is capable of hitting targets at short distances. However, Ukraine has a fairly large number of anti-aircraft guided missiles for these air defense systems, while the complexes themselves were destroyed in the early days of the start of the air defense system.

Ukrainian information resources report that the Polish side has handed over to Ukraine at least one S-125 anti-aircraft missile system. The modification of the complex is not called, however, the situation indicates that the Armed Forces of Ukraine could potentially receive a large number of these air defense systems, since, according to 2018, the Polish army was armed with 17 S-125 air defense systems, which Poland intended to completely replace with 2025.

It is known that such complexes are used mainly to repel missile attacks, however, there is currently no information about the effectiveness of their use.
