The incident with the emergency landing of an American MQ-9 Reaper reconnaissance drone on Polish territory caused a significant resonance. According to the Russian Weapons publication, the cause of the incident was the impact of the Russian electronic warfare (EW) systems Krasukha-2 and Krasukha-4. These systems are capable of jamming GPS signals, as well as interfering with the radar and communications systems of drones.

According to the report, the MQ-9 Reaper drone performed tasks to detect Russian military positions along the border with the Kaliningrad region. However, the Russian electronic warfare system Krasukha-2 disrupted the operation of its navigation systems, while Krasukha-4 suppressed the operation of its radar and communications system with a targeted beam. As a result, the drone lost contact with the operator and was forced to crash land in Poland.

The drone's flight ended with an emergency landing at the airbase in Miroslavets, from where it took off, flying autonomously without direct operator control. The Polish Ministry of Defense reported that there were no casualties in the incident.
