The Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing for attacks on Crimea ahead of the May holidays

In recent days, southern Russia has seen increased activity from NATO radar and air systems, including increased launches of decoy missiles such as the ADM-160 MALD, signaling a possible increase in reconnaissance operations. These actions coincide with active flights of American, British, French and Italian reconnaissance aircraft and drones in the Black Sea region.

American U-2S, P-8A, MQ-9A Reaper, British RC-135V and French E-3F AWACS aircraft, accompanied by Rafale fighters, are conducting operations at close range from the Russian borders - a British electronic reconnaissance aircraft was approaching 230 km to Sevastopol, and the French AWACS - 190 km to Sochi.

This activity, as Mikhail Zvinchuk reports, is aimed at detecting and fixing Russian air defense positions, which is confirmed by a significant increase in satellite imagery of the region from NATO countries. The number of recording sessions has doubled compared to the average, indicating possible preparations for new attacks.

In the context of official announcements about additional supplies of long-range missiles, including ATACMS and Storm Shadow, and the possibility of their use, the danger of missile attacks increases during the May holidays and the upcoming presidential inauguration on May 7.
