The cruiser Admiral Kuznetsov

Russian aircraft carrier "Admiral Kuznetsov" will be handed over to the Russian Navy in 2023

The Russian heavy aircraft-carrying cruiser Admiral Kuznetsov will be handed over to the Russian Navy in 2023.

Despite a number of problems associated with the repair of the only domestic aircraft carrier "Admiral Kuznetsov", it became known that the heavy aircraft-carrying cruiser will be transferred to the Russian Navy in 2023. Nevertheless, as the United Shipbuilding Corporation emphasizes, there is a risk that after the completion of all dock works, new defects may be revealed and the commissioning of the Admiral Kuznetsov will be delayed for several years.

“Under our contract, all dock works should be completed by the beginning of 2023, with that everything is in order. The problem is different. Today the situation has changed - it turned out that repairs are needed for all four units, and this is a total of 10-11 months of work. But even in this case, if other defects are not revealed, in 2023 we will hand over the ship to the fleet, as planned "- said the head of the United Shipbuilding Corporation.

Earlier it became known that the repair of the heavy aircraft-carrying cruiser "Admiral Kuznetsov" may be delayed due to the cases of theft of funds revealed during its modernization, in addition, a number of emergency situations with the Russian aircraft carrier seriously delayed the repair period.

But it is quite symptomatic that despite all the laudatory reports about domestic weapons, "having no analogues in the world," the only smoking Russian aircraft carrier was a clear laughing stock of foreign analysts
