Syrian military launched large-scale strikes on militants in Kansafra

Turkish militants preparing for the attack were destroyed by a preventive strike by the Syrian army.

About a day ago, Syrian troops inflicted powerful blows on Turkish militants, whose forces were deployed in the area of the city of Kansafra (Idlib province, Syria). As a result of multiple artillery strikes by the Syrian army, the militants suffered losses in equipment and manpower. At the same time, there is evidence that the terrorists could have lost a warehouse with weapons that arrived a few days ago from the territory of neighboring Turkey.

According to reports, the Syrian forces detected the activity of Turkish militants, who, presumably, intended to attack the areas of deployment of Syrian troops. As a result of the accurate work of artillery, the terrorists suffered very serious losses. In particular, it is reported about the destruction of at least four vehicles, a warehouse with weapons, as well as the elimination of about 20 terrorists in the presence of a large number of wounded militants.

Syrian artillery strikes, according to preliminary data, were carried out from the area of \uXNUMXb\uXNUMXbthe city of Maarret al-Nuuman, where SAA units were actually deployed earlier.

Experts attribute the activity of the militants to Turkey's intentions to launch a military operation in northern Syria, however, among other things, the terrorists are actively trying to expand their zone of influence in this region of the Arab Republic.
