In a recent message from the Mash Telegram channel, information appeared about a new type of weapon used by the Ukrainian military during combat operations - a balloon, which was destroyed by Russian fighters for the first time during a special military operation. This unusual drone, masquerading as a weather balloon, is designed to silently deliver explosive devices to targets.

According to the report, the balloons are equipped with a GPS tracker, a control system, an explosive charge and a power source. Disguised as a probe, it evades detection and destruction by artillery and air defense systems, thanks to which it can deliver explosives directly to specified coordinates. Experts say that while it is virtually impossible to accurately hit a target in this manner, accidental releases of explosives have led to serious injuries among residents in border areas.

The use of these weapons can pose a fairly serious threat, since such devices can fly at very high altitudes.
