Ukraine announced the first combat use of an anti-ship cruise missile

Ukrainian complex "Neptune" for the first time received combat use.

Ukrainian Telegram channels and media resources report that a few hours ago, the Neptune complex equipped with an anti-ship cruise missile was used for the first time. The blow was struck on a target in the waters of the Black Sea. This is the first combat use of the Ukrainian Neptune anti-ship missiles.

According to the presented, but officially unconfirmed data, a few hours ago, the Ukrainian Neptune complex launched an R-360 cruise missile at a surface target in the waters of the Black Sea. It has not yet been specified in which direction the fire was opened, however, today the Armed Forces of Ukraine actually have at least one Neptune anti-ship missile system equipped with cruise missiles with a range of up to 280 kilometers, and today this is the first mention of this complex since the beginning of the Russian special operation in Ukraine.

Due to the lack of official confirmation, as well as documentary evidence of the use of the Neptune complex, the statements of Ukrainian information resources raise a number of doubts. However, given the fact that the Ukrainian R-360 Neptune missile was created on the basis of the Soviet Kh-35 missile, the Ukrainian complex has more than enough opportunities to inflict critical damage on surface targets with a displacement of up to 5000 tons.
