In Russia, problems began with the operation of Superjet 100 airliners

Six Russian airlines reported problems with the operation of Superjet 100 airliners.

At the moment, it is known that the key problem is the lack of supplies of spark plugs for these domestic aircraft. The reason is that these components were supplied by an American manufacturer. However, after the introduction of sanctions against Russia, spark plugs for these aircraft are not supplied. Given the restrictions on the use of foreign passenger aircraft, the problems that have begun with the Superjet 100 airliners can create a critical situation in the domestic aircraft industry and the civil aviation sector.

At the moment, we are talking only about risks, however, as RBC journalists note, the situation leads to the fact that the aircraft will have to be decommissioned.

“The current situation leads to the risk of stopping part of the Superjet fleet “in the near future and a gradual complete cessation of flights of the entire aircraft fleet,” says Vladimir Panfilov, First Deputy General Director of IrAero, which he sent to the Ministry of Industry and Trade on February 16. RBC has a copy of the letter, its authenticity was confirmed by a source close to the carrier."This jeopardizes the implementation of the flight program for the transportation of passengers, including socially significant ones," Panfilov warned.- reports "RBC".

For what exact reasons the aircraft did not provide for the use of spark plugs from other manufacturers is unknown.
