Some details of two attacks from Lebanon and the Mediterranean Sea against the Russian military are disclosed.

A little more than a day ago, unknown missiles were fired at the positions of the Russian military from the Mediterranean Sea and Lebanon (according to other sources - loitering ammunition - ed.). As it became known, one of them flew exactly to the location of the Russian Navy base in the port of Tartus.

“Another missile was intercepted near the city of Mesta al-Helu when it was heading for the port area of ​​Tartus”, - informs the information publication "Al masdar news».

It should be clarified that the port of Tartus is relatively small, where about a quarter is occupied only by a Russian military base, with Russian naval warships stationed here.

This is the first known attack on the Russian Navy base in Tartus, while analysts draw attention to the fact that under certain conditions, the Russian Navy base could well be destroyed, since large fuel reserves located near the port could well cause a large explosion and the biggest fire.

It is noteworthy that the fact who exactly is behind the attack on the location of the Russian military is still unknown, however, according to the Syrian military, Israel is behind the attack.
