Israeli air strikes destroyed Syrian air defense systems
Israeli missile and air strikes have damaged Syrian air defenses.
According to the information at the disposal of the resource Avia.pro, during the last rocket fire of Israeli forces in Syria, the Syrian air defense system suffered serious damage, in particular, in addition to destroyed complex "Pantsir-X1", Israeli missiles disabled three more anti-aircraft missile systems - C-75, C-200 and Buk-M1-2.
The Israeli Ministry of Defense explained that initially there were no intentions to destroy the Syrian air defense systems, however, after the Israeli fighters tried to shoot down air defense assets by Syria, it was decided to strike accurately at the complexes that present a serious danger.
Taking into account the fact that the air defense facilities, which are in the arsenal of the Syrian Arab Republic, are limited in their numbers, and most of them are already obsolete, Syria's air defense suffered a very considerable damage.
According to the latest official data, on the night of 10 May, 10 tactical ground-to-surface missiles and at least 60 missiles were fired over Syrian territory. According to information provided by the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the Syrian air defense weapons successfully hit at least 30 missiles.
Whether any damage was caused to Israel is not officially reported, but despite the operation of air defense systems, Israeli aircraft were not shot down.
