A prototype of the OTRK "Thunder" was made.

General Director of the Yuzhnoye design office, Alexander Degtyarev, made a statement, according to which, the specialists created the first prototype of the Ukrainian operational-tactical missile complex, the Thunder-2. The newest Ukrainian tactical missile system is supposed to be sent not only to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also exported to various countries - Saudi Arabia is the first partner of Ukraine.

Despite the fact that OTRK “Thunder” is the latest Ukrainian development, no loud statements were made on this subject - Degtyarev only reported that one of the samples was intended for shipment to Saudi Arabia, while the second was intended for testing in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"This is the operational-tactical missile complex" Grom ", the prototype of which is made under a foreign contract, and the second - for testing by the Armed Forces of Ukraine", - declared the General Director of Yuzhnoye design bureau.

It is known that the Ukrainian PTRK “Thunder-2” is intended for hitting targets at distances from 50 to 280 kilometers, and it can be used as a monoblock warhead and cassette.
