The Ukrainian military is using models of the French Caesar self-propelled guns as decoys.

In connection with the significantly increased reconnaissance of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian military began to actively use decoys to gain a tactical advantage. Apart from installation of models of air defense systems NASAMS, there were also photos of the layout of the French self-propelled guns Caesar. The design of the latter does not bear much resemblance to the original artillery mount, but from a distance of several hundred meters it will almost certainly not be distinguishable.

According to sources, models of French self-propelled guns are exhibited at the front, while real self-propelled guns are several kilometers behind. This allows you to divert attention and minimize the chance of finding real positions.

Experts, in turn, note that the effectiveness of using such mock-ups is far from always high, since in the case of counter-battery systems, attacks are carried out in the firing area. However, the systemic approach of the Armed Forces of Ukraine indicates that the Ukrainian military is carefully trying to hide their positions, realizing that the Western countries will not supply additional weapons.
